The Rootman is a stop-motion short film created during the 2025–2026 academic year. Using a wide variety of materials—including paper, wood, Super Sculpey, Styrofoam, and even 3D printing—we had the immense privilege and great pleasure of crafting every element of the film. Every piece of the sets, from the grass and trees to the props and puppets, was built entirely from scratch by the members of the team, then brought to life by hand, one frame at a time.

With five characters, a forest, a swamp, and plenty of learning along the way, we spent nine rewarding months bringing an entire story to life, with the goal of transporting the audience, if only for a brief moment, into a small magical world that we hope will remind them of their childhood.

So, if you'd like to escape into a fantastical world, stay tuned for news about the film. Enjoy the journey!
